Les Grands Anciens (Great Old Ones) sont des créatures fictionnelles, originellement issues de l'œuvre littéraire de l'écrivain H.P Lovecraft.

Le concept même de « Grand Ancien » demeure indéfini puisqu’il désigne plusieurs sortes d'entités selon la perception plus ou moins biaisée des narrateurs. Vénérés parfois comme des divinités par certains mortels , la plus célèbre création de Lovecraft demeure Cthulhu, gigantesque créature tentaculaire.

Pour cette compilation les artistes ce sont inspirés chacun d’une des créatures du bestiaire Lovecraftien afin d’en créer une définition musicale personnelle

The Great Old Ones are fictional creatures, originally from the literary work of the writer H.P Lovecraft.

The concept of "Great Old Ones" remains undefined since it designates several kinds of entities according to the more or less biased perception of the narrators. Lovecraft's most famous creation, sometimes venerated as deities by certain mortals, is Cthulhu, a gigantic, sprawling creature.

For this compilation, the artists were each inspired by one of the creatures from the Lovecraftian bestiary in order to create a personal musical definition.
